TWM is part of a collection of businesses known as Pilot Group that specialise in new and innovative technologies. Pilot Group, who are continuing to support cities and businesses across the UK and Ireland in the race to become carbon neutral, have delivered Electrical Vehicle Charge Point solutions to Exchange Quay in Manchester.
Exchange Quay is one of the North West’s most high-profile office schemes, providing world class offices to rent in Salford Quays with a Grade A specification.
The business approached Pilot Group to find an Electrical Vehicle charging solution to their office tenants who use the multi-storey car park. Following a site visit and understanding Exchange Quay’s requirements, Pilot Group provided a full EV Charging solution for the car park which included the delivery of 10 EV parking bays.
The installation included five PG EV Plus+, a commercial floor mounted pedestal dual-socket charger. Using the integrated payment terminal, EV drivers can pay for charging sessions with contact/contactless and swipe using a credit/debit card, as well as e-wallet, making the user experience as easy and simple as possible with a tap and go.
The Plus+, which features a touchscreen, also offers charging revenue, parking revenue and advertising revenue.
In Exchange Quay’s solution, advertising and overstay charging features were included that will provide a pay back on their capex invested in just three years. The installation also included crash protection using stop wheels, parking bay marking and signage.
